RETURN TO NATURE
-
Have you ever been for a walk in the woods and felt calm, peaceful, energised and happy as a result?
-
Have you ever stared at a tree and drifted into a wonderful daydream?
-
Have you ever seen something so beautiful and awe inspiring you felt your heart glow inside?
-
Have you ever been completely amazed by a huge ancient tree or a stunning moment in nature?
-
Have you ever lost track of time listening to the gentle breeze through the trees with the sound of birds singing?

Then you are in the right place!
And if you have not experienced any of the above, then it is our mission to help you to experience all of them and more!
At My Green Prescription we believe in the huge range benefits that our green spaces, trees and nature as a whole offers us.
And there is now masses of scientific evidence which proves that spending quality time in green space and doing green space activities improves, boosts and heals our mental, physical and spiritual health and well-being.
Our society has become dangerously disconnected from nature’s glorious offerings, and consequently we have become disconnected from ourselves, meaning our lives and health suffer. There is no surprise that over 25% of us now suffer some form of mental health difficulties and that major depression is the second leading cause of disability worldwide.
We believe in the ideal that everyone should be able to access green space activities, whoever and wherever they are.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
THE HEALING POWER OF NATURE
Victoria is happiest surrounded by trees and outside in nature!
A turning moment in her life saw Victoria embark on a complete career turn around.
She re-qualified as Level 3 Forest School leader with the Surrey Wildlife Trust, obtained her 500 hour RQF with the British Wheel of Yoga, the highest recognised Yoga diploma in the UK and went on to qualify with the Therapy Adventure to become an Outdoor Mental Health Practitioner.
This is a big life change!
After 17 years hard work as a City lawyer, Victoria reached a turning point in her career after developing severe PTSD following serious trauma. Her life was reduced to a fraction of what it once was.
Having access to green space and nature plays a pivotal role in Victoria's recovery journey and has inspired her to help others to access the same.

THE POWER OF COMMUNITY
When living in London, Victoria was the chairwomen of her local Tenants' and Residents' Association. Together with resident volunteers, Victoria helped build a safe forum for residents to interact and voice concerns about their neighbourhood.
Securing grants for community activities, the TRA built more green spaces which helped reduce the impact of crime, anti-social behaviour and fly tipping on the community.
Victoria is particularly proud of her legacy for the TRA in setting up a Council funded summer fete and BBQ which was entirely free for the community and a Christmas craft fair supporting local businesses, both of which now happily run every year.
In being part of this community hub, and especially during the Covid 19 lockdown, Victoria experienced first hand the power of connectedness and support in bringing people from the same neighbourhood together. Some neighbours had lived on the same street for 30 plus years but had never spoken until they came to the BBQ!
When Victoria moved to Bletchingley in Surrey, that same community spirit was alive, providing support, local knowledge and friendship.
Connected communities have a powerful positive impact on quality of life and well-being.
Nature + Community = Reconnection
Our mission at My Green Prescription is to offer a safe, calming space for communities to come together; out of our homes and away from our screens and desks into our natural surroundings, to recharge, rejuvenate, heal and energise - to RECONNECT US!
